NASAL SURGERY (Rhinoplasty)
Nasal surgery is one of the more-frequently requested cosmetic
surgical procedures. It may be
performed for birth defects, following
trauma (injury) or purely for cosmetic reasons. External deformities
that can be corrected are bumps on the top of the nose, wide bridge,
or wide base of the nose. Also a droopy nose may be corrected relatively
easily. Internal deformities that are corrected are things like
nasal obstruction with inability to breathe.

Dr. Vogt likes to use computer imaging to assist the patient
in understanding the corrections
that may be appropriate. It is
a wonderful and helpful tool for the patient because, “a
picture is worth a thousand words.” Also, on review of the
profile in computer imaging, not
infrequently chin deformities
or fatty tissue in the neck will be noticed at the time of the
imaging process. Computer imaging may also aid very much in helping
the patient determine that no corrections are necessary. MORE
